Wesley Monumental United Methodist Church is a Methodist church in Savannah, Georgia, United States. Located in Taylor Square, at 429 Abercorn Street, [1] the building's first floor was completed in 1875, [2] with the second floor added in 1878. The church was completed in 1890. Its spire and stucco were added five years later. [3]
Wesley was built at 8 North street where 800 members worshiped regularly under the excellent ministry of outstanding pastors. In 1910 Lafayette St UMC moved to their new home at 296 Lafayette street until the 1994 merger [of Wesley Methodist Church and Lafayette Street United Methodist Church].
The church was renamed Wesley United Methodist Church when the Methodist Episcopal Church and Evangelical United Brethren Church merged in 1968. [5] The Preservation Alliance of Minnesota listed it on its 2010 10 Most Endangered Historic Places list. [6] The church is currently occupied by Substance Church.
Wesley United Methodist Church was the founding institution for the Austin Area Urban League, incorporated in the mid 1970s under the leadership of the Rev. Freddie B. Dixon Sr., First Board Chairman, Bertrand Adam, Linda Moore Smith, and Wesley members who served on the founding committee.

Wesley Memorial Methodist Episcopal Church (Wesley United Methodist Church) is a historic church at 800 Howard Street in Greenwood, Mississippi. It was built in 1921 and added to the National Register in 1985.
