Mikasa Ackerman (ミカサ・アッカーマン, Mikasa Akkāman, alt. "Mikasa Ackermann") is a fictional character from Hajime Isayama's manga series Attack on Titan.Mikasa is introduced as a citizen of Paradis Island living with the protagonist, Eren Yeager, and his family, who took her in following the deaths of her parents in an attempted kidnapping.
Eren, Mikasa, and Armin are transferred to the Special Operations Squad, under the care of Levi Ackerman and Hange Zoë. During an expedition into the forest between the walls, Eren and his companions encounter a sentient Female Titan, whom they later expose as their fellow military comrade Annie Leonhart .
The Titan is swiftly slain by Mikasa Ackerman, who then proceeds to threaten Reeves to remove his wagon and clear the gate, allowing the citizens to leave Trost. As Louise and her mother express their gratitude towards Mikasa, Mikasa salutes them and Louise, ecstatic, salutes back.

At Wall Rose, Mikasa experiences an alternate vision of her early family life where her parents were not killed. She meets Eren, the son of Doctor Jaeger. Walking together in the woods, she and Eren encounter wolves eating the bodies of the would-be kidnappers, but when Eren approaches them, the wolves retreat.

Mikasa finds Levi about to inject Armin with the serum to save him.
