The Ripsaw is a series of developmental unmanned ground combat vehicles designed by Howe & Howe Technologies (now part of Textron Systems) for evaluation by the United States Army. [1] [2] The Howe brothers started the Ripsaw as a small family project in 2000.
The US Army asks the Howe brothers to modify their most famous vehicles, two high-speed tanks called Ripsaw MS1 and Ripsaw MS2. Ripsaw MS1 is a remote controlled tank and Ripsaw MS2 is a manned version. Now, Mike and Geoff must make Ripsaw MS2 operate remotely as well.
The Ripsaw is claimed to be the world's fastest dual tracked vehicle. H&H is run by twin brothers Michael "Mike" and Geoffrey "Geoff" Howe. Mike is the president of the company and chief engineer while Geoff is the CEO and company manager.
