The Mighty Ducks is an American media franchise.It features William McLendon in a trilogy of live-action films released in the 1990s by Walt Disney Pictures and a live-action sequel television series, as well as an animated television series by Walt Disney Television Animation and a real-world hockey team in the National Hockey League.
The team was founded as an expansion franchise in 1993 as the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. At the end of the 2018–19 season , 390 players, 31 goaltenders and 359 skaters ( forwards and defenseman ), have played at least one game for Ducks in the regular or post-season.
