For walking on the ocean floor, probably, however the pressure down there would probably crush them, and without some oxygen to fuel your muscles you'd eventually be unable to move. In the movie, after that character drowns a few times, they'd eventually become too oxygen starved to have any further awareness. 38.
The villain, even though I've seen better, was pretty passable and rather hateable in this film, Harry Melling really knows how to make you hate his guts in cinema π. This movie, while not John Wick level of amazing, is easily one of the best Netflix films out there and I really hope for a sequel.
His doctor managed to make a prototype serum and he injected it. After they left he resurrected for the first time (It takes longer the first few times) and he’s going to team up with Quynh to reproduce the serum and make more immortals to hunt down the Old Guard. Also Andy will either inject the serum and become immortal again to save the team.
My review of the 2020 Netflix film, The Old Guard! This is a really cool movie. The concept of immortal warriors from around the world who have come together to stop threats in the shadows is pretty cool. The actual concept of the movie works out well too. It never feels cheesy.
This movie does not know how to be funny. This movie does not know how to be serious. When it tries to be funny it looks ridiculous. When it tries to be serious it's boring. The tone is horrid. This movie is horrid. 1/5 for the funky premise and that alone. Locked post.
The movie did more to try to provide a why than the comic. In the comic, no test could observe a difference between Nick/Joe and normal people, so there was never going to be an identified gene. And the "wall of good" was not a thing. I highly recommend the comic, but the movie stayed pretty true to it so it depends on one's rewatch tolerance.
Wow didn't know a sequel was coming. Saw the Old Guard a couple of months back or so and was pleasantly surprised because I just randomly selected a movie on Netflix and the description looked interesting enough and it was actually decent. Wi definitely catch this on Netflix when it comes out.
It could end up being a short notice release for December, but that's unlikely. They’ve had a few screenings but I think there are going to be some reshoots. With the SAGAFTRA strike filming can’t happen for those so it’ll probably be sometime in 2024 when it comes out. So yea definitely not before 2024 π .
Quynh and Booker. Here is the thing, obviously Andy, Joe and Nicky have met Quynh, so they don't dream of her; but Booker is only 200 years old. Quynh has been supposedly trapped for 500 years, so shouldn't the last 200 years if Bookers life be haunted by horrid nightmares of Quynh. Well I have two theories. A practical one, he does have these ...
Ok my backpack collectors. Can someone tell the the brand of the backpack that Charlize Theron wore on the Old Guard Movie on Netflix. Around the 3 minute mark you can kind of really see it but no brand can be spotted. Thank you in advance. Its a Triple aught design fastpack litespeed. It looks amazing and feels super tough, but for some reason ...
