If you want Macs, head out to the ocean, and start to chum, use sabiki rigs, 1/2oz weight on the end or a large lure instead on the end, start to jig. You should get some Macs this way. If you have a live well, keep them alive in there.

Caught a lot of 20-26 inchers on Tube & Worm around old pilings and shore structure. Some nice blues to be had around there as well during the summer.

    Yeah, a lot of people fish the Raritan River, especially during the spawn. I was in Somerset few years back, and I've fished that section a bunch of times. It can be tough, especially if the conditions aren't right. (Things may be different now in that area) Try changing up your bait and fishing spots; sometimes that makes a big difference.

Other areas where they are commonly caught included Riverton, Randolph Island , and adjacent to Johnson Mill Pond. Stripers will take bait such as shrimp or baitfish, as well as large plugs.     Meldahl Dam up river from Cincinnati I did some bank fishing below Meldahl dam this Sat., pretty much skunky. Front drove fish down?? Had great 3-4 weeks of wiper action, along with white, sauger, even smallies.     Seems like the darker the night the more agressive the fish are for top water baits. I throw a jointed red fin or thunderstick for surface and a rapala sliver, which goes about 3-5 ft below the surface. If you do go just get to your spot before dark, so you can get the feel of what your casting into.
