The Message (Chinese: 风声; pinyin: Fēngshēng, literally "Sound of the Wind") is a 2009 Chinese espionage thriller film set in 1942 Nanking, featuring a cast of top Chinese stars include Zhou Xun, Li Bingbing, Huang Xiaoming, Zhang Hanyu and Alec Su.
The film is notable for being the first Chinese language film shot in bluescreen. During post-production, effects artists worked on scenes involving computer-generated imagery, focusing on the film's setting and backgrounds. The Storm Warriors was released theatrically in Hong Kong on 10 December 2009. [2]
The film takes its story from oral traditions of Shandong. [1] A bumbling villager, Niu'er (), is charged with caring for a Dutch cow, considered an object of awe to the village given its larger size and ability to produce large amounts of milk, they forced Niu'er to take care of the cow, when the village head and members of 8th Route Army members that holds out the village before retreating.
