James Edward Malone Jr. [1] (July 8, 1957 – December 16, 2024) was an American politician from Maryland and a member of the Democratic Party. He served in the Maryland House of Delegates , representing Maryland's District 12A in Baltimore and Howard Counties from 1995 to 2014.

James Louis Malone was born in Los Angeles on December 22, 1931. He was educated at Pomona College, receiving a B.A. in 1953. He worked as an instructor at the United States Army Infantry School with the rank of First Lieutenant in the United States Army from May 1954 to March 1956.
