I am using Windows 10 Version 21H2, Build 19044.1865, Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.4180.0. Internet Explorer 11 used to be included. Somehow I did something to eliminate it. I have tried all the so-called tricks to find internetexplorer.exe but it's just not there. IE compatibility mode doesn't work in Edge either.
To solve : In Edge, click the three dots (ellipsis) in the top right hand corner, then select Settings, then select Default Browser. There is then a heading "Let Internet Explorer open sites in Microsoft Edge". In my case this had been switched to 'Always' - I switched it to 'Never' even though this isn't the recommended setting.
