Klein Independent School District (Klein ISD) is a school district that covers 87.5 square miles (227 km 2) in Harris County, Texas, United States. It became an independent school district in 1938. Almost all of the territory is unincorporated ; a small portion of Houston is within the district.
Klein was the first high school established in the Klein Independent School District. It is accredited by the Texas Education Agency [10] and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. [citation needed] 93% of the 2006 graduating class planned on attending college, receiving over $7 million in college scholarships. [11]
Klein Collins opened on August 9, 2001 with Ms. Mindy Spurlock as the opening principal. RWS Architects designed the now 602,000-square-foot (55,900 m 2) campus and Marshall Construction Company, who received the contract to build Klein Collins on May 10, 1999, built the campus at an approximate cost of $52,000,000 exclusive of furniture and equipment.
Klein Oak was the third high school established in Klein Independent School District to serve grades 9 through 12. It is administered by the school district and serves several areas of unincorporated Harris County, including WindRose, Augusta Pines, and [ citation needed ] Northampton [ 7 ] which are zoned to Klein Oak.
A part of the Klein Independent School District, it opened in August 2017. Lauren Marti is the principal of the school. The sports team is the Hurricanes. [2] Klein Cain opened in 2017 with 9th and 10th grade students, then added 11th graders in 2018 and 12th graders in 2019. [3]
Following her adoption, she lived in Spring, Texas, and attended Roth Elementary, Strack Intermediate, and Klein Collins High School. [ 2 ] [ 3 ] As of 2024, she attends the University of Arizona , where she is studying nursing and competes on the school's track and road racing team.
