The eighth season of Futurama consisted of ten episodes. It premiered on Hulu in the United States on July 24, 2023. Although the seventh season was intended to be the final season, having concluded in September 2013, Hulu greenlit the eighth season in February 2022.
For the final episode of season 6, Futurama was completely reanimated in three different styles: the first segment of the episode features black-and-white Fleischer- and Walter Lantz-style animation, the second was drawn in the style of a low-resolution video game, and the final segment was in the style of Japanese anime.

The episode was written by Lewis Morton and directed by Susie Dietter. Ron Popeil guest stars in this episode as himself.
Zack Handlen of The A.V. Club gave the episode an A−. [3] In 2006 IGN listed this episode as number three in their list of the top 25 Futurama episodes, also stating that this episode was the "most memorable" of the series. [4] When IGN updated their top 25 list in 2013 the episode moved to number 21 and remained there in 2019. [5]
