The instructions I found on that forum was to go to Run> gpedit.msc which will open Group Policy files so that you can enable downloading from other PC's but I needed to download an add-on just to get to that file. Once in the file you go to Delivery Optimization> Download Mode and select "Enable" and change config from LAN (1) to Internet (3).
I've learned that download speeds are TERRIBLE using the app, as well as the MS store. I have an Ethernet connection with about a 78 Mbps download, however, the gamepass app will only download games at speeds of less than 1Mbps, often in Kbps speeds. Steam and Epic games download speeds are fine, just the xbox pc app.
All right boyz! Finally found how to fix the atrociously slow download speeds on the Xbox Game Pass for PC (BETA) APP. This fix will also be applied to Windows Store App. I left my computer all night to download Gears 5 just to find out this morning my download was at 25%, got some pretty nice flash-back's from the good'ol Y2K days!
But for some reason I am only getting 200 kbps - 2 mbps on the Xbox app. The only thing thats above the Xbox app in task manager with network priority is Delivery Optimization. The things I have tried are: Limiting background bandwidth updates in delivery optimization to 100%. Enabling download mode through gpedit in delivery optimization.
Normally in steam my speed would reach about 180 mb/s, in epic it'd be below 100 which I would call slow until I saw Xbox App download speed. It doesn't go beyond 10 mb/s.... I went through various methods to fix this: Delivery optimization settings. Command settings. Turning off "Real-time protection" during installation.
The process of the Xbox application downloading games is to download the game in chunks, which means downloading one file at a time, and some games need to be installed, so once a file is downloaded, it is very slow to download another file. This causes the Xbox application to be unable to achieve regular download speeds in terms of download speed.
Downloads either INCREDIBLY slow, or stuck on 0% - Xbox PC. Recently built a gaming computer, took advantage of the £1 for first month subscription. Great! Download the Xbox application, see a game I was going to buy and go to download it. I don't know what on earth is happening, but the download speed is absolutely rubbish.
Game pass slow download speeds. If i download games on gamepass my download speeds are topping out at around 5 MB/s, whilst on steam i top out at about 50-60 MB/s. I've tried a couple things including Delivery Optimization, changing configurations in the policy menu for delivery opt, resetting the windows store and nothing has worked so far.
