Fatima-Zahra Hafdi (born 25 August 1988), [1] known professionally as La Zarra (French pronunciation: [la zaʁa]), is a Canadian singer and songwriter based in France. [2] She represented France in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool with the song " Évidemment ", finishing in 16th place.
La Zarra was officially announced by France 2 as the French entrant on 12 January 2023, and the song was presented to the public as the French entry on 19 February 2023, during the France 2 programme 20h30 le dimanche. As a member of the "Big Five", France automatically qualified to compete in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest.
