This book is a supplement to the Sokhan Big Dictionary, which was published in eight volumes in the year 2002 (1381 in the Persian calendar). It comprises words that were omitted or newly discovered, as well as corrections of printing and non-printing errors and mistakes in references that occurred across the eight volumes.

The Irania Encyclopedia (Persian: فرهنگنامه ایران, "Farhangnāme-ye Irān") is a reference book for the culture and civilization of the Persian and Iranian Plateau, [1] written by Reza Moradi Ghiasabadi. The encyclopedia has 5,000 entries and 500 photographs.
The nucleus of the collection is formed by a Pahlavi Sassanid Persian book called Hazār Afsānah [15] (Persian: هزار افسان, Thousand Myths), a collection of ancient Indian and Persian folk tales. During the reign of the Abbasid Caliph Harun al-Rashid in the 8th century, Baghdad had become an important cosmopolitan city.
