Butchertown is a neighborhood just east of downtown Louisville, Kentucky, United States, bounded by I-65, Main Street, I-71, Beargrass Creek and Mellwood Avenue. The Butchertown Historic District is a 50 acres (20 ha) part which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.
The Point was a thriving 19th century neighborhood in Louisville, Kentucky, east of Downtown Louisville and opposite Towhead Island along the Ohio River. It was also located north of the present day Butchertown area.

Lynn Family Stadium, a soccer stadium for Louisville City FC, the city's team in soccer's USL Championship league, opened in 2020 in the Butchertown neighborhood, just east of downtown. Farmington, an 18-acre (7.3 ha) historic site in Louisville, Kentucky, was once the center of a hemp plantation owned by John and Lucy Speed. The 14-room, Federal-style brick plantation house was possibly based on a design by Thomas Jefferson and has several Jeffersonian architectural features.
