    It's one million watts! A full power UHF digital signal is 1000 kilowatts or one million watts. But not all channels operate at full power, some are a bit less. And the low power translators are much, much lower. VHF signals vary a bit, as some stations were allowed to increase power to overcome noise and interference.

    A "perceptible" difference is considered 3dB. A 10dB increase is perceived as "twice as loud" by most people. Most people who have trouble with dialogue will bump up the CC by 1-3dB. If that doesn't do it for you, re-evaluate the placement of your CC. -The CC should not be placed inside a cabinet.
