Manmad Junction Railway Station (station code: MMR [1]) is a Central Railway junction in India, serving the town of Manmad in the Nashik district of Maharashtra. It is one of the Central Railways' major stations, connecting Manmad with many major cities in the region, including Mumbai and Pune.
The station was opened on 6 March 2022 as an inauguration of Pune Metro. [1] From March 2022 to July 2023, the Purple Line operated between PCMC Bhavan and Phugewadi , [ 2 ] but from 1 August 2023 the section between Phugewadi and Civil Court metro station came into use, so trains ran from PCMC Bhavan to Civil Court. 1st line The first line is proposed from Shramik nagar (Satpur) in west to Nasik Road railway station in east. There will be 17 stations on this route. The route will be of 22.5 km. 2nd line This route is proposed to be built from Gangapur Road to Mumbai Naka. There will be 10 stations on this route which will be 10.5 km long.
The Pune–Nasik railway line is a proposed higher speed railway between the cities of Pune and Nashik. [1] The project will allow trains to cover the 235.5 km route in around two hours at speeds of up to 200 km/h, including future-proofing for 250 km/h.
