Amrinder Singh Gill (Punjabi pronunciation: [əmːˈɾɪndər sɪŋ ɡɪl]; born 11 May 1976) is an Indian actor, singer, songwriter and film producer who makes Punjabi-language films and music.
Amrinder Gill is an Indian actor known for his work in Punjabi cinema and Punjabi music. In 2016, Gill won his first PTC Award for Best Actor for Angrej (2015), followed by Love Punjab (2016) and Lahoriye (2018).
Gill's debut album, Apni Jaan Ke, was released by Goyal Music in 2000. [1] The album was followed by Chan Da Tukda and Ek Vaada, which were released by Finetouch next years consequently. In 2005, Gill released his fourth studio album Dildarian under label Music Waves and Kamlee Records. The album received various nominations at ETC Awards.
Angrej (transl. Englishman) is a 2015 Indian Punjabi-language historical romance film directed by Simerjit Singh.Set against the backdrop of the waning British Raj, the film chronicles the love story of a young man and a woman, played by Amrinder Gill and Sargun Mehta respectively, belonging to different social strata.
