Jeffrey Open Space and the Jeffrey Open Space Trail within it comprise a 96-acre area of parks and trails in Irvine, California.Approximately five miles in length, it primarily follows Jeffrey Road spanning nearly the entire city, from just past Portola Parkway in the north to the Quail Hill open space in the south for 5 miles (8.0 km).
Bommer Canyon is an open space preserve in southern Irvine, California featuring hiking and biking trails as well as private event areas. The canyon is part of the Irvine Ranch, which itself is a National Natural Landmark, the first California Natural Landmark, [1] [2] and part of the City of Irvine Open Space Preserve.
The village's name comes from a distinctive rock formation that adjoins 600 acres (2.4 km 2) of open space. [1] Located next to the 405 freeway, Quail Hill is close to major employment, entertainment and dining areas of the city. At the foot of Quail Hill there is the Quail Hill Loop Trail that provides public access to a natural surface trail. [2]
