As of the 2020 United States census , the township's population was 1,475, [ 8 ] a decrease of 331 (−18.3%) from the 2010 census count of 1,806, [ 16 ] [ 17 ] which in turn reflected an increase of 247 (+15.8%) from the 1,559 counted in the 2000 census .
