Brushy Creek State Recreation Area is a state park in Webster County, Iowa in the United States. With an area encompassing over 6,000 acres (24 km 2), the facility is one of Iowa's largest public outdoor recreation areas. A relatively new recreational area, Brushy Creek did not have an easy beginning.
There are 40 campsites, 24 with electrical hookups, modern shower and rest room facilities and a trailer dump station. The equestrian campground contains 32 campsites and non-modern rest room facilities. Advance campsite reservations can be made online through the park reservation system.
It is fed by Walters Creek in its northwest corner with its dam located on the west side on the lake. Its dam is 1,300 feet (400 m) long and 56.5 feet (17.2 m) high. The lake has a beach, marina, playgrounds, picnic shelters, cabins, campgrounds, and nature trails.
High Cliff State Park is a 1,187-acre (480 ha) Wisconsin state park near Sherwood, Wisconsin.It is the only state-owned recreation area located on Lake Winnebago. [2] The park got its name from cliffs of the Niagara Escarpment, a land formation east of the shore of Lake Winnebago that stretches north through northeast Wisconsin, Upper Michigan, and Ontario to Niagara Falls and New York State.
Because of its location near Kettle Moraine State Forest and Natureland County Park, the area is known for biking (on-road and off-road), golf, hiking, camping, hang gliding, cross-country skiing, water skiing, swimming, fishing, and boating. Native Americans once referred to Whitewater as "Minneiska", now the name of the local Minneiska Ski Team.
