Chickasaw State Park is a state park located in Chester County, Tennessee, in the Southeastern United States. The park consists of 1,280 acres (5 km 2) amidst a 14,384 acres (58 km 2) state forest and includes Lake Placid, Lake Lajoie, and some of West Tennessee's highest areas.
Harrison Bay State Park is a 1,200-acre (4.9 km 2) state demonstration park developed by the Tennessee Valley Authority in the 1930s along the shores of Chickamauga Lake. Opened in 1937, the bay gets it name from the now partially submerged town of Harrison, Tennessee. It was built at the same time as Booker T. Washington State Park. [3]
Chickamauga Lake is a reservoir in the United States along the Tennessee River created when the Chickamauga Dam, as part of the Tennessee Valley Authority, was completed in 1940. The lake stretches from Watts Bar Dam at mile 529.9 (853 km) to Chickamauga Dam at mile 471.0 (758 km) making the lake 58.9 miles (94.8 km) long.

State Route 96 (SR 96) is an east–west and north–south highway in Middle Tennessee. The road begins in Dickson and ends in Granville. The current length is 126.7 mi (203.9 km). [1] Along its path it goes through 10 counties. Locals mostly refer to it as Highway 96.
SR 58 begins as a secondary highway, known as Ochs Highway, [4] in Hamilton County at the Georgia state line in Lookout Mountain, where the road continues southward as SR 157. It goes north through Lookout Mountain before leaving the scenic town at an intersection and becoming briefly concurrent with SR 17 and entering Chattanooga .
A 40-acre (16 ha) lake offers opportunities for fishing and boating. [2] Visitor facilities include two campgrounds and a restaurant. [2] [3] Seven two-bedroom visitor cabins built in the park in 2010 were the first vacation homes in a U.S. state park to receive LEED Silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. [6]
