Crossroads Village is a living history museum in Genesee County, Michigan, near Flint. It is operated by the Genesee County Parks and Recreation Commission alongside the Huckleberry Railroad. Initially proposed as a Flint River recreational area and a farm museum, it was opened as a historical village in 1976.
The Dumaw Creek site is located on a sandy plain near Dumaw Creek, a tributary of the Pentwater River, at a site not easily accessible by canoe. [2] The creek itself runs through a small valley about 30 feet (9.1 m) beneath the level of the plain. The site, covering 50 acres (20 ha), was used as a village and burial ground. [1]
