Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance is a 2011 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics antihero Ghost Rider.It is a sequel to the 2007 film Ghost Rider [8] and features Nicolas Cage reprising his role as Johnny Blaze / Ghost Rider [9] with supporting roles portrayed by Ciarán Hinds, Violante Placido, Johnny Whitworth, Christopher Lambert, and Idris Elba.
Blackout first appeared in Ghost Rider #2 (June 1990), and was created by Howard Mackie and Javier Saltares. [citation needed] He would continue to appear intermittently throughout Ghost Rider volume 3 (published from 1990 to 1998) as well as other comics like New Avengers and Deadpool: Assassins.
