AMP Radio Networks acquires the radio station in 2005 to relaunch a brand new radio channel to broadcast in Tamil. From 2 January 2018, with the reformulation of radio stations owned by Astro, the "THR Raaga" name was simplified to Raaga, ending the usage of THR name after 23 years. The change also happens to THR Gegar, which is now known as Gegar.
Time Highway Radio was taken over by Astro Radio in 2005. It became a Tamil-language station known as "THR Raaga" on the West Coast of Peninsular Malaysia. On the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia it became known as "THR Gegar", broadcasting in Malay. Both stations later dropped the "THR" brand and simply became "Raaga" and "Gegar" respectively.

The extension of Best 104's broadcast into THR's Klang Valley listener hinterland in 1996 presented a challenge of sorts to THR, with at least one deejay 'leaping' from THR to Best 104. However, it was the start of AMP Radio Network 's HITZ FM broadcast in January 1997 that really hurt the popularity of THR, as it did Best 104 .
From July 2018, THR Gegar broadcasts from 02:00 to 06:00 on Raaga's FM frequencies was discontinued, and the latter became 24 hours. Previously, 24 hour broadcasts of Raaga were only available through online and Astro channel 859. THR Gegar's frequencies are only broadcast in the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia and not in other states.
Kalakkal Kalai, currently known as THR Raaga #OHHSOME Kalakkal Kalai with Hotlink due to sponsorship, is a Malaysian Tamil language breakfast radio show that airs on THR Raaga. [1] The show were hosted by Aanantha and Uthaya with nearly 700,000 listener every day. [2]
