The International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) is a labor union representing paid full-time firefighters and emergency medical services personnel in the United States and Canada. The IAFF was formed in 1918 and is affiliated with the AFL–CIO in the United States and the Canadian Labour Congress in Canada.

Harman in March 2010. Elizabeth M. Harman (born April 23, 1973) is general president of the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) in Washington, D.C. Prior to this, beginning in 2013, she served as its assistant to the general president for grants administration and HazMat/WMD Training Division.
She also worked as a firefighter for 21 years. Criswell managed the Office of Emergency Management for the city of Aurora, Colorado. [2] She later worked in the Federal Emergency Management Agency during the Barack Obama administration before becoming the commissioner of the New York City Emergency Management department in 2019.
