Jordanian General Intelligence Department, GID or Mukhabarat (Arabic: دائرة المخابرات العامة) is the primary civilian foreign and domestic intelligence agency of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
The Cabinet of Jordan is led by the Prime Minister who is appointed by the King.The Prime Minister is then free to form his own cabinet which is responsible to the Chamber of Deputies on matters of general policy and can be forced to resign by a two-thirds vote of "no confidence" by that body or be dismissed by the King.

The Ministry of Interior of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan (Arabic: وزارة الداخلية) is the ministry in the Government of Jordan.Established in 1921, at the time of the establishment of the Emirate of Transjordan, it is responsible for law enforcement in Jordan.
