Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (IATA: CDG, ICAO: LFPG), also known as Roissy Airport, is the main international airport serving Paris, the capital of France.Opened in 1974, it is in Roissy-en-France, 23 km (14 mi) northeast of Paris and is named for World War II leader and French president Charles de Gaulle (1890–1970), whose initials form its IATA airport code.

A second CDGVAL line, having the project name LISA (Liaison Interne Satellite Aérogare, English: Internal Satellite Airport Link) was opened on 27 June 2007 between Terminal 2E and Satellite S3. It was further expanded to Satellite S4 on 18 June 2012, totalling 1 km (0.62 mi) in length for 3 stations.

In Orly, a development project voted in 2012 plans to merge the airport's south and west terminals with the construction of an 80,000 m2 building to create one great terminal. [7]
He was in charge of planning and constructing Charles de Gaulle Airport (Roissy) in Paris from 1967 on. On 23 May 2004 a portion of Terminal 2E collapsed, killing four people. Terminal 2E, inaugurated in 2003, is the seventh terminal at Roissy by Andreu, and has been described as one of Andreu's boldest designs. [4]
