William Robert Johnson (November 19, 1918 – July 28, 1986) was an American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He served as bishop of the Diocese of Orange in California from 1976 until his death in 1986. He previously served as an auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles in California from 1971 to 1976.

William Herbert Johnson (12 May 1889–15 July 1960) was the 5th Anglican Bishop of Ballarat in Australia. [1] Johnson was born in Brighton, South Australia, [2] on 12 May 1889. He was educated at St Peter's College, Adelaide, the University of Adelaide and St John's Theological College, Melbourne. [3]
He founded The Bishop's School [8] in La Jolla, California [9] and served on the Pomona College board of trustees. [10] The Bishop Johnson College of Nursing at Good Samaritan Hospital was named for him. [11] He was the father of architect Reginald Davis Johnson. [12]
