The School of Pharmacy is a professional school of the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada, within the Faculty of Science.It was previously housed in Faculty of Science buildings on the main university campus in Waterloo, but was re-located to a new $34 million building on the university's Health Sciences Campus in downtown Kitchener in 2008.
The first three students to graduate from the school did so in 1921, and they thus became the first students in the British Empire to complete a four-year (instead of three-year) pharmacy program. [1] In 1955, the school became the Faculty of Pharmacy, graduating its first PhD student in 1961. [1]
Programs are offered to graduating high school students through choice; however, students must maintain specific entering averages, which generally range from 65 to 85%, depending on criteria set by the chosen university. On campus residences are available at 95% of universities in Canada. [4]

In 2008, the College of Pharmacy became Qatar University's seventh college, which has received early accreditation by the Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs (CCAPP). It is currently the first and only pharmacy college in the country.
