Ashta Chamma (transl. A four-player board game ) is a 2008 Indian Telugu -language romantic comedy film written and directed by Mohana Krishna Indraganti . The film stars Nani , Swathi Reddy , Srinivas Avasarala , and Bhargavi , with Tanikella Bharani in a supporting role.
Bhargavi (1983–2008) was born in Gorantla (Guntur district).Her first film was YVS Chowdary's Devadasu, through which she first achieved recognition.She also appeared in Ashta Chamma, based on Oscar Wilde's play The Importance of Being Earnest, as Varalakshmi (the equivalent of Cecily Cardew in Earnest).
Indraganti signed his protégé Nani as the protagonist after being impressed with his performance as a selfish businessperson in Yevade Subramanyam (2015); it marked their second collaboration after Ashta Chamma (2008).
