Tizita songs are a popular music genre in Ethiopia and Eritrea. It's named after the Tizita Qañat mode/scale used in such songs. The Ibex and ROHA Band dominated the music of the 1970s and 1980s. They arranged and recorded well over 250 albums, 2500 songs, accompanying various Ethiopian singers.
