Panayanthitta Kunhiraman Nair (4 October 1905 – 27 May 1978), also known as Mahakavi P, is an Indian writer of Malayalam literature.He was known for his romantic poems which detailed the natural beauty of his home state of Kerala in South India as well as the realities of his life and times.
It is also adapted into a movie in 1967. He is credited with bringing poetry to the masses with his simple romantic style. He died of tuberculosis aged 36. P. P. Sreedharanunni (born 12 April 1944) is a Malayalam–language poet from Kerala state, South India.His collection of poems titled Khshanapathram received the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award in the year 2005. [1]
Alunkal published his first poem in 1987 at the age of 14 in the Nair Service Society's (NSS) Service Weekly. The poem won the Mannam Trophy for best upcoming poet.
