The Medford School District passed a school bond in November 2006 that collected $189 million to completely rebuild South Medford High School and Lone Pine Elementary School. [2] Some remodeling was done to North Medford High School. All schools received a part of the bond money for repairs and renovations.

The Kennedy School, originally the John D. Kennedy Elementary School, is a former elementary school that has been converted to a hotel, movie theater and dining establishment in northeast Portland, Oregon. [3] [4] The facility is operated by the McMenamins chain. The hotel has 35 guestrooms, a brewery, four bars, and a restaurant.
In 2014, 79% of the school's seniors received a high school diploma. Kennedy currently offers five Advanced Placement (AP) courses. The school also began the AVID program at the beginning of the 2015–16 school year. [5] In 2022, 82% of the school's seniors received a high school diploma. Of 39 students, 33 graduated and 6 dropped out. [6]
The South Medford campus was originally built in 1931 as Medford High School. Then in the 1960s, the school was divided between two campuses. Medford High became Medford Mid High, serving grades 9 and 10, with grades 11 and 12 going to a newly constructed campus, known as Medford Senior High, which is the current North Medford High School campus.
