With the new technology, lenses are printed in the same printing operation as the interlaced image, either on both sides of a flat sheet of transparent material, or on the same side of a sheet of paper, the image being covered with a transparent sheet of plastic or with a layer of transparent, which in turn is printed with several layers of ...
A lenticular lens is an array of lenses, designed so that when viewed from slightly different angles, different parts of the image underneath are shown. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] [ failed verification – see discussion ] The most common example is the lenses used in lenticular printing , where the technology is used to give an illusion of depth, or to make ...
An example of a lenticular fabric sheet that changes from a blue background with white stars to a white background with red stars. A lenticular fabric is a lattice-like arrangement of lens-shaped materials formed into a thin layer. [1] When the surface of the fabric is smooth, it often has a reflective and light-distorting appearance.
A wide range of colors can be achieved by dyeing of the surface or the bulk of the material. CR-39 is also resistant to most solvents and other chemicals, gamma radiation, aging, and to material fatigue. It can withstand the small hot sparks from welding, something glass cannot do. It can be used continuously in temperatures up to 100 °C and ...
A microlens array used in a spectrograph. A microlens is a small lens, generally with a diameter less than a millimetre (mm) and often as small as 10 micrometres (μm). The small sizes of the lenses means that a simple design can give good optical quality but sometimes unwanted effects arise due to optical diffraction at the small features.
Nimslo prints are created by printing the four images through the lenticular print material, each at a different angle, to a photosensitive emulsion on the back of the lenticular material. The print material is then processed in a normal photofinishing machine, as the back of the print material is permeable to the photofinishing chemicals.

Towards the end of the use of that display static image cards were used instead of the moving lenticular display and the lenticular lens sheet replaced with a plain piece of clear plastic. I don't know if the change was due to wear of the mechanisms or if it was due to the cost of designing and printing the cards.
