The films made in Odia language were not considered until the 8th National Film Awards ceremony held in March 1961. [1] The 1960 Prafulla Kumar Sengupta directorial film Sri Lokanath received the first president's silver medal for Best Feature Film in Odia. Since the 70th National Film Awards, the name was changed to "Best Odia Feature Film". [2]
Gapa Hele Bi Sata is a 2015 Indian Odia-language drama film directed by Murali Krishna. The film stars Anubhav Mohanty and Barsha Priyadarshini is in the film as lead cast. [1] [2] Prem Anand is the music director. The movie is a remake of 2013 Kannada movie Charminar. This film released on Raja alongside Super Michhua and Love You Hamesha. [3]
Sudharani Jena (6 February 1942 – 22 August 2023) was an Indian Odia-language actress from Odisha. She started her career in Ollywood in 1961 through Parinam. In 1976 she returned to the Industry through Gapa Hele Bi Sata and was active until 1994.
