It encompasses about 14 acres (5.7 ha) of downtown Spearfish and includes 24 commercial buildings dating back to the late 19th century. Tinton is located at the back of Spearfish Canyon in the Black Hills of Lawrence County, South Dakota, and Crook County, Wyoming.
