The Merchant Building is a 32-story skyscraper under construction in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. The project formally began in 2016 when the city solicited design ideas; it selected a winning proposal in 2017. Construction began in 2023.
After graduating from Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree in architecture, Prindle co-founded the architectural firm of Titus and Prindle in Columbus, Ohio, in 1957. [1] After his partner left the firm in the early 1960s, the name of the firm was changed to Ted H. Prindle and Associates.
The complex was completed in 2001. It consists of Miranova Condominiums and Miranova Corporate Tower, located at 1 and 2 Miranova Place respectively. Miranova Corporate Tower is 157 ft (48 m) tall and has 12 floors, while Miranova Condominiums is 314 ft (96 m) tall and has 26 floors, making it one of the tallest residential buildings in Ohio.
The three firm name-sake architects all had worked at Yost & Packard in Columbus: C.E. Richards (né Clarence Earl Richards; 1864–1921), charter member of the Columbus, Ohio, chapter of the American Institute of Architects; J.E. McCarty (né Joel Edward McCarty; 1856–1952) George Henry Bulford (1870–1942)
