Politika (Serbian Cyrillic: Политика, lit. 'Politics') is a Serbian daily newspaper, published in Belgrade . Founded in 1904 [ 1 ] by Vladislav F. Ribnikar , it is the oldest daily newspaper still in circulation in the Balkans .
The first issue of Blic appeared on September 16, 1996 thus becoming the 10th daily newspaper to be published in FR Yugoslavia at the time (the other nine being Politika, Borba, Dnevnik, Pobjeda, Narodne novine, Večernje novosti, Politika ekspres, Naša borba, and Dnevni telegraf).
At that time the magazine's ownership structure was: 87% publicly owned (društveni kapital), 10% owned by Politika AD, and 3% owned by the employees. The newspaper was founded during Axis occupation in 1942, and its original name was Slobodna Vojvodina (Serbian Cyrillic: Слободна Војводина, lit. 'Free Vojvodina').

On October 12, 2009, the daily has changed the format and design, where the newspaper's slogan "Najveće dnevne novine u Srbiji" has dropped, introducing the new billboard campaign "Cela slika na manjem formatu" ("A whole picture on less format").
