John Wanna (born 20 May 1954) [1] is Professor Emeritus at both the Australian National University (ANU) and Griffith University. [2] Before retiring in 2019, Wanna was the Foundation Professor with the Sir John Bunting Chair of Public Administration at the Australia and New Zealand School of Government (ANZSOG) based at the ANU.
In 2004, he became Professor of International Relations and Director of the Griffith Asia Institute at Griffith University. [5] He served as co-chairman of the Security and Prosperity working group at then Prime Minister Kevin Rudd's Australia 2020 Summit in 2008. [6] He was a visiting professor at the University of Hong Kong in 2009.

Sir Samuel Griffith played a significant role in the Federation of Australia and was the principal author of the Australian Constitution. Griffith Business School is accredited in this way. [2]
