Sent Required Documents Late for UCI Financial Aid Hello ~ I submitted my 2024-2025 FAFSA before the priority deadline, but I submitted the Pending/Required documents the school requested late - aka the priority deadline for it was June 15th (6/15) but for some reason I never got an email notification about it.
There is no guarantee that your appeal will be approved so you need to make financial arrangements with your current financial aid offer. Accepting your aid now will not have any bearing on the review of your appeal. Your appeal will still be reviewed and your aid offer revised if your appeal is approved.
As soon as they receive them, I will be sending an email to the financial aid office. However, it takes approx. 10-14 days for them to answer an email and verify their information. Even then, it goes past the May 2nd deadline. I emailed the UCI financial aid office and they told me I could submit an on-time appeal during the summer.
The reason is for financial aid purposes, either path will still allow you to be mostly/fully covered for tuition/fees. The part time thing is if you get Cal Grant/Pell Grants too. Being part time reduces your tuition by 50% however you will be restricted to no more than 10 units.

My daughter is finishing her last year at UCI and we’ve been very happy. Remember that no matter where you go, a lot of the aid decisions are based on state and federal regulations, not school policy. I wouldn’t make a school choice based on rumors about the aid office. Source: I have worked at a CA university financial aid office for 20 years.
UCI Financial Aid . I know and saw the reddit post with all of the information regarding the last 300 ...
the only aid i got, and i’m not counting loans bc those are eventually paid back, was the uci grant which was just under 1000 dollars LMAO. even with the loans i accepted, i still had to pay about 1,800 every quarter. it really sucked dude. i considered dropping out and doing CC instead.
Leases are 11.5 months but you are responsible for 12 months worth of rent- they don’t prorate it. UCI financial aid does not pay for summer housing unless you’re taking 12 units minimum for summer courses (not sure if it covers all of the courses AND housing bc I’ve never been in that situation).
