The Duclair duck is a type of Rouen duck and is also described as resembling the Swedish Blue. Males weigh up to 6.6 pounds (3.0 kg) and females up to 5.5 pounds (2.5 kg). There are two color varieties, black and a less common blue. Both have a single white feather on each wing and a white bib.
It is essentially a smaller version of the Swedish Blue, but with black plumage where the Swedish has blue; [9]: 457 [10]: 489 the black has glossy green and blue lights in it. [8] The birds usually have a white bib, and may have some white on the head; they may become paler as they age, in some cases turning almost entirely white. [ 8 ]

The blue duck or whio (Hymenolaimus malacorhynchos) is a member of the duck, goose and swan family Anatidae endemic to New Zealand. It is the only member of the genus Hymenolaimus . Its exact taxonomic status is still unresolved, but it appears to be most closely related to the tribe Anatini , the dabbling ducks.
