The Charter Township of Genesee, or Genesee Township, is a charter township of Genesee County in the U.S. state of Michigan. In the Public Land Survey System, the township is survey area township 8 north, range 7 east. [3] The population was 20,581 at the 2020 census, down from 21,581 at the 2010 census.

Thetford Center Post Office returned to its previous name, East Thetford, on June 9, 1873. [12] [11] The Rogersville office returned on November 16, 1895 to Whitesburg only to return to Rogersville on June 12, 1897. [7] On July 12, 1898, the Thetford location was reestablished. [11] [10] Both Thetford post offices were closed on August 30, 1902.
The Township's survey area was in Grand Blanc Township from 1833 to 1836 when its area was included in Flushing and Genesee townships. The first settler was Benjamin Pearson of Avon, New York, who came in May 1833 to sections 25 and 36. On February 12, 1855, the Township of Mount Morris was established.

Flushing is a city in Genesee County, Michigan, United States. The population was 8,411 at the 2020 census. Flushing is considered a suburb of Flint. It is situated within the survey area of Flushing Charter Township, but is administratively autonomous. Flushing originated as a mill town in the mid-1830s.
