Among them, food business operators (FBOs) are responsible for controlling and assuring the safety of their food products through the development of food safety management systems (FSMSs). They construct their FSMSs based on legal requirements and private standards regarding food safety ( Jacxsens et al., 2010 ; Kirezieva et al., 2015 ).
