I find actually building the ROMsets a pain in the ass, but fortunately, kind souls upload them to Archive.org. Many (all?) of the supported platforms have "Game Series Collection" folders (either included in the primary archive, or as an additional download) that curate the ROM library in various interesting ways.
All you need to do is unzipping the 20 megabyte zip file. Then open lemuroid while connected to internet and choose the folder. After that, the app will download the nes emulator (it takes 10-20 seconds) then you can play it. The app also downloads box arts of the games but they aren't necessary for playing.

This was built inspired by Hearto's 1g1r collection, so it's similar in a lot of aspects: It doesn't include bad dumps, hacks, fixed, patched or cracked ROMs. Retool was used for trimming all sets.
