Otherwise, just wait an buy a .357 Sig version that comes up for sale. Yes once in a while you see a P239 with an extra Barrel being offered for sale. Guess what they likely purchased that Barrel close to 9 years ago just before the P239 was discontinued, or immediately afterward. Yes Sig still manufactures .357 Sig Barrels for P226 and P229 ...
The SAS in .40 is on the CA roster. But I'm looking for 9 mm which, in SAS form, show up for sale rarely and can be expensive. For example, I saw one for $1200, whereas I can get a new "basic" P239 with night sights for $800. I can upgrade grips and trigger for less than the difference, so the only net gain I can see is the SAS treatment.
I've had a P239 DA/SA in .40 S&W for a couple of years, and is my "primary" EDC. I have just recently picked up a DAO, in .40 S&W, and have set it up to function in the same role as an old snub nosed revolver, for close range, fast action shooting.
Here are the sights for P239 and they seem to have good reviews. I don't know if it's worth trying, considering there are some well tested brand like Trijicon and others from your posts. A separate note to everyone who commented on P239 - yes, it is a fantastic gun, I love pretty much everything about it!
The nickel P239 in .40 was a limited Gun of the Month offering by Sig. Any nickel 9mm was apparently done after it left the factory. If Sig every offered an all-stainless P239, I would buy one immediately, although it would be a heavy little fella.
You could possibly signal your intent, of wanting one, by checking the "Subscribe" box for one at Osage County Guns, as they are the only Sig Parts vendor I've found, that still shows a "listing". Not saying they will make any more, but the "alternative" could be to contact the Custom Shop, and see if they would "fit" a .357 Sig barrel to your ...
