The per minute charge that I pay to receive calls is around $0.05. I only give this number to family, clients, etc. as you pay this on top of your airtime minutes which you are billed for by T-Mo. Note that when you select a toll free number, you are better off choosing a not previously used 877, 866 or 888 number as opposed to an 800 number.
There are four GSM frequencies in use worldwide; 800 (sometimes called 850), 900, 1800, and 1900. 900 and 1800, with a few exceptions, are used in Europe, Asia, and, generally speaking, the Eastern Hemisphere. You will *not* find 900 and 1800 in use for cellular/GSM in North America. 800/850 and 1900, are, again with a few exceptions, used for ...
Several (10) years ago, TMobile was mostly on PCS (1900MHz) and AWS (1700/2100MHz) Back then, At&t and Verizon had 800MHz cellular band, in addition to some PCS/AWS. Tmobile now has some 700MHz spectrum, along with At&t and Verizon in addition to 600MHz. In many areas, TMobile's issues are due to tower spacing vs frequency.

If the "+" prefix is used, it essentially instructs the phone to check if it is roaming outside of Canada/US and if so, to use "1" followed by the N. American area code and city number. I have UK numbers in my phone book. they are prefixed with "+44". When I call from Canada, the phone will add the "44" to the number to make an overseas call.

The 1+1 is indeed missing some of the T-Mobile data bands, in fact I think the only one they have in common for LTE is Band 4. T-Mobile also increasingly uses Band 12 (which few phones support) and more relevant this year also Band 2, in many areas they're refarming 2G spectrum to LTE. Also lacks Band 5, often used for T-mobile's 3G and HSPA+ data.
Thx! well depends on your plan. most plans have free LD and roaming, so unless you get the ONE that doesn't (not sure which one), it should be free. the CSD number i don't think is local for anyone, at least if you're talking about t-mobile's CSD, they have just one number, and its 913 area code i think, i have no clue where that is.
I ported to T-Mobile and it was very quick about 5-15min. To port your safelink number to another carrier you need the account number and pin. I can confirm this is the correct information. Once your number is ported it would take about 24hrs deactivate your account from safelink. Account number is the serial number (IMEI) of the phone
