Not sure how many of you you tube, but Hickok45 has the new Ruger 1911 and did a 22 minute video with it on Easter (or that weekend anyway). He's a glock nut, but has many brands and does T & E a few times (the 1911 is a T & E gun).
Hickok45 is my favorite YouTube channel. He is so down to earth and friendly and man can he shoot. I love how he can hit the gong at long range with a big .44 and then take out a GLOCK and do the same.
He has a nice range setup, he goes into details about how each firearm works, disassembles, etc. The videos are stable, sharp, and bright. And mainly, he clearly enjoys shooting. I don't watch to find out if he thinks I should buy some specific firearm, I like many that he doesn't. I like hammer-fired Sigs and Berettas. I like the .357 SIG.
Okay folks, time for a poll. Hickok45 holds a contest, and you are the lucky winner of First Prize, a day at the Hickok Compound (if you've been hiding under a rock for 4 years, and are not familiar with Hickok45, look him up on YouTube and watch a couple of videos). You get to go there to his backyard range and bang away all day.

I've watched about every video HICKOK45 has made and never seen anything quite like the dismal performance of this brand new Security 9 Compact. Maybe it takes public exposure like this to jolt Ruger management back to their senses and return to quality manufacturing and testing, rather than focusing on cranking out massive amounts of product.
Yep, got one in my safe. Hickok45 bought an SR9c for a personal carry weapon (that from a Glock guy!) but didn't buy the SR40c (that I know of). But he did give it a great review. Next, my son-in-law loves the M1A with the full length barrel. I liked it, but didn't love it. So, Hickok45 reviews the M1A SOCOM (the I, not the II).
He doesn't recommend every gun he reviews, but he is also careful about being overtly harsh since people on youtube are so quick to retaliate to criticism of anything they like. I think the only gun I can remember him not particularly liking or "recommending" was the Hi-Point C-9, but even then, he still had some positive things to say about it.
