Caerphilly County Borough (Welsh: Bwrdeistref Sirol Caerffili) is a county borough in the south-east of Wales. It is governed by Caerphilly County Borough Council. Its main and largest town is Caerphilly. Other towns in the county borough are, Risca, Ystrad Mynach, Newbridge, Blackwood, Bargoed, New Tredegar and Rhymney.

Caerphilly County Borough is a county borough in south-east Wales.It covers an area of 227 km 2 (88 sq mi). [1] In 2021 the population was approximately 176,000. [2]The Cadw/ICOMOS Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest in Wales was established in 2002 and given statutory status in 2022.
The borough is named after Caerphilly, but covers a much larger area. The county borough council's main offices are not in the town of Caerphilly itself, but in the more central location of Ystrad Mynach. [18] Historically, Caerphilly formed part of the ancient parish of Eglwysilan in the county of Glamorgan.
