Mickey Amery ECA KC MLA (born April 26, 1982) is a Canadian politician and former lawyer who has been the Alberta Minister of Justice since June 9, 2023. [1] Amery was elected in the 2019 Alberta general election to represent the electoral district of Calgary-Cross in the 30th Alberta Legislature.
He was Alberta's minister of municipal affairs from 2019 to 2020, minister of justice and solicitor general of Alberta from 2020 to 2022 (the first Black person to serve as a provincial minister of justice in Canada).
